Gator vintage amp-style wooden rack case provides users with a combination of reliable protection and the classic appearance of 50’s & 60’s era amplifiers. Load in your favorite modeling amp, effects processor or recording EQUIPMENT with up to 4U of rack space and 12.5” of rack able depth. The GR-RETRORACK-4TW is wrapped with tweed Tolex and features a kickstand underneath to angle the rack up towards users to prevent unnecessary bending down for access to and visibility of controls. A removable dust cover lined with Oxblood/Gold stripe grill cloth safely masks your gear with the look and feel of a vintage amp, along with 1U & 2U panel spacers with matching grill cloth to clean up empty rack space. The rack also includes spring-loaded side handles and a leather top handle to allow for easy lifting and loading and metal corners for stability. Rubber feet on the bottom provide enough clearance for the enclosure to sit comfortably on Guitar amps & Cabinets, desks and other surfaces. The retro rack series BY Gator helps match your modern rackmount components to the boutique pedals and peripheral effects in your collection.

I bought the black one and I must say, it's very well made. The handles on the sides and and the pop-up leg on the bottom are really good quality and well made. The handle on the top looks a little bit cheap, but no matter, it does what it's supposed to and it works well.Interesting that you can pop the cover on there once it's all mounted, and it really looks like an old vintage combo amp. That's more an esthetic thing than anything else, as the cover has zero functionality.Does the job perfectly, and is solid and robust. I have my AXE FX and a Furman power cleaner mounted in there and it works perfectly. The big plus as well is that the racks are tapped, and all you need to do is just screw in the components you want to install. No stupid clips to fit in holes and things like that. It took me all of 2 minutes to throw the two pieces of equipment in there, tighten it up and call it a day.
