I was actually going to return this because it was bigger than I thought it would be. I ended up keeping it, and I'm so glad I did!! It's really handy to set hot dishes on when cooking. Cooked pasta, for example. I set my hot pasta pot on it while I'm fumbling with my colander. It's just super handy as a temporary placeholder for anything hot when you're cooking and you need to protect your counter. Really sturdy - I even place my crockpot meals on this to cool off. And it really isn't too big like I thought it would be - I keep it on the front corner and it doesn't get in the way. And super easy to throw in the dishwasher, too. So glad I didn't return this!
