The day this arrives, I take it out of the box to put together and I notice that at least two pieces were bent. Took a while to get it put together but in the end it did the job it was needed for.I initially got this to hold my kitchen appliances, but I realized you really need solid shelving for that. I’m using it as a bookshelf and it’s perfect! It’s easy to assemble, sturdy and worth the money.This is the fourth or fifth wire rack I've bought in the past 5 years or so. It's lighter than usual - all the others I've got have 1" uprights, this one is 3/4". Also, the uprights screw together, just like every other one I've ever seen, but unlike the others, which have one or two pieces of each upright permanently threaded, this one uses unsecured pipe nipple, so tightening them is a bit dicey, as they want to screw into the piece your attaching the other piece to about as fast as the second piece screws to the first.In short, be aware that this shelf is lighter and less sturdy than you might expect, but depending on the load you plan to put on it, still might be a decent purchase.I got this for my laundry room. Of course I tore the box open, got it all put together and the very last shelf was really bent. Now these are heavy duty shelves so how it got bent could have only come from the manufacturer. I contacted them and they would not replace the shelf. Told me to send it back via Amazon. 1. Too heavy to lug to a UPS store (30 miles from me). 2. The box got damaged from me opening it. 3. I thought customer service at Iris Industries would stand behind their product. I have purchased several things from their company and thought they would be reputable. So I kept it and glad it was not for my kitchen because it it noticeably bent.Love these wire shelves. There is a bit of a learning curve to assemble them ( I bought 7). But once you figure out that the attachment clips have a top and bottom clearly marked on them and they have to click in a groove the rest is easy. They are very sturdy.Purchased one to put small kitchen appliances on...loved it so much went back and purchased another.Ordered for organizing office supply, is very sturdy and easy to assemble. Is light weight to easily relocate.As Japanese Manufacturers designed, it’s clean, sturdy, and easy to assemble.
