This was easy to install and gave me lots of extra space in the kitchen! Great pricing!It is already installed and I love it!!I got fed up with a bunch of appliances that had boxes but no homes, and decided that it was time to get the pots out of the cabinet and put the appliances away and get rid of the boxes. (Seriously, there were a lot, it was ridiculous.) After reading some reviews I decided on this pot rack because I wanted a silver finish to go with the kitchen, the price was quite reasonable, and I really didn't want anything fancy. Well this is certainly not.What you get is a thin oval ring with a welded grid inside, and significant lengths of chain to hang it with. It also comes with stout hooks to put into your ceiling, some drywall hangers (nope - not for something this heavy, thank you), and the hooks, which I found to be exactly the right amount for my needs. Any more and I think it would be overloaded.***There are no instructions included.***Installation: Use. A. Stud finder. Put it in the ceiling joists and ignore those drywall things. Drill some little pilot holes and screw the hooks in, and then you don't have to worry about it falling down. Once you have them in place, you can hang it up. You will likely have to adjust the height of the rack a couple of times. The optimal height for a pot rack over a kitchen island is 40-48 inches, measuring from the work surface to the bottom of the hook. If you want instructions, there are plenty of places online that can give you a quick tutorial, but you certainly won't get any out of the box.The shelf portion of the pot rack is just out of my reach to pull anything down, but still hang pots up and use the island without feeling crowded, even with my huge wok hanging on it. I keep a stepstool in the kitchen because I can reach the top shelf in the cabinets, either, so I'm used to that minor inconvenience. It's currently holding 26 pots and miscellaneous utensils. I even made use of the ceiling hooks to hang the wire trivets for casserole dishes that are always getting in the way.It's not fancy. I didn't want fancy, I wanted functional, and it is. The hardest part of the installation was muscling the hooks into the studs, then finding the sweet spot of the right height for me.The only con is that this came with NO INSTRUCTIONS. Please, please, please, recognize that you get no instructions with this. If you're not sure how to install this thing: watch a video, read a tutorial, something, before you put random holes in your ceiling. And I highly recommend putting it into the joists (the studs in your ceiling), because then you never have to worry about it falling down.Works so well in my kitchen and it's pleasing to the eyesGood Value for the price point. Was easy to install. Looks great, mine is a large kitchen and it fits very well.I’ve had this set aside until I was able to get to installing it. Well today was the day and once I opened the box and got everything out I realized that they sent a bag of screws and anchors instead of screw hooks and anchors. So it looks like I’ll have to purchase screw hooks before being able to hang it up. On the bright side it looks to be a sturdy ceiling rack but I won’t really know until I hang it up and put everything on it. If you plan to purchase this item it might be a good idea to have some sturdy screw hooks around just in case you don’t get yours.I love this pot holder in my kitchen.
